I stumbled on the topic of "menstrual cups" in the Swissmom forum by accident. Before I had my first menstrual cup in my hands I was thrilled. I began my search for information and noted that there were several brands. Apart from the manufacturers' websites and women who were discussing in forums there was no decent website that provided good, neutral and complete information. That's how my project "menstrual cups" started: comparing different brands, gathering important information from manufacturer sites and user instructions, learning from the problems of women in the forums, getting to know their difficulties and discovering the solutions to them. My goal: building a website with good, neutral, and complete information. I was irritated that I didn't know nothing of menstrual cups earlier and I wanted to give other women the opportunity to inform themselves properly.

The first version of www.afriska.com goes online, mainly in German. 

The fully revised version of www.afriska.ch goes online, this time in French and German, partly in English, too. 

The first 2 videos go online (Menstrual cups & Manual of use) and a great article about menstrual cups is published in the NZZ am Sonntag (p. 59). Many thanks to Anett Altvater for the constructive article! 

The site is revised: cloth pads and pStyles are available in the shop, too. 

Two additional press articles by Anne Altvater, a video for the pStyle, professional photos of menstrual cups by Steve Vonlanthen, new brands of urinating devices (Pibella & LadyP), a new blog (on the german site only) ... The work never ends! 

Big update with photos of the new MeLunas and the new SI-BELL. New structure of the page "Which one for you?" because of the dissolution of the page "All brands". 

We often think that it is impossible to achieve big things as an individual being. The success of this website proves the opposite again and again!
